Biography

Olivia Fachrunnisa is currently a Professor of Management Science and a senior researcher at the Dept. of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) Semarang, Indonesia.

She was born in Kudus, 1975 and started her career in 2000 as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA), Indonesia and received her Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. Olivia continued her Ph.D at Curtin Business School in 2008 and successfully completed in 2012. Research Skill and agile learning skills are one of the valuable experiences gained during her Ph.D, so that after returning from her study, she was trusted to be the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business UNISSULA for the period of 2014 to October 2022. She is an active member of Academy of Management, Society of Human Resource Management, and ICMI.

Equipped with the two skills above, Olivia has the ability and a strong commitment to her profession as a lecturer and researcher so that she is qualified for a position jump with pretty strict requirements towards the title of professor in 2019.

Olivia has published a number of articles and books at reputable outlets both nationally and internationally. She also become a speaker in various scientific forums both nationally and internationally. She is actively contributed to the development of business intelligence, especially in strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs through the adoption of Information Technology. Her teaching interest and research area is in Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, Organizational Behaviour and Business Intelligence.
